Flowers are starting to bloom where the last bit of snow melted. It's officially Spring. Spring is the perfect leeway between winter and summer. It's weather fluctuation allows you to wear jeans one day and cotton shorts the next. Although spring weather can be a rollercoaster, the ability to experiment with floral prints and colors are definitely and incline.

CYHS students, senior: Gabrielle Howard and junior: Demos Sacarellos share their spring style.

Gabe Howard

"Spring is my favorite fashion season because I have more flexibility when it comes to clothing. I love lightly layering and wearing brighter color in the wormer months," said Howard, aspiring fashion major.

Howard uses trends to inspire her spring outfits.

"Off the shoulder blouses are definitely in this spring. So my 'go-to' spring look is a cute, floral blouse paired with flared denim jeans," said Howard.

Howard also likes to add accessories in her outfit to complete the look.

"Accessories are definitely a necessity for me. In past years, bold statement necklaces have been a favorite of mine. However, recently I've worn layered necklaces and chokers. I love layering bracelets as well," said Howard.

Demos Sacarellos

Demos's style depends of the weather, rather than what's trending.

"My spring 'go-to' look would be lighter clothes so it's not heavy and 'winterish.' My style [during] different seasons is basically whether it's cold or not," said Sacrellos.

Demos's style is inspired by his current mood.

"I express my mood in what I wear. Sometimes I'll wear a suit just to pick up groceries," said Sacarellos.

Along with his mood, Demos is also inspired by luxury fashion brands.

"I like to follow Gucci spring and summer [collections] because I like their humble clothing that you don't know is Gucci, but is actually like $300 for a t-shirt," said Sacarellos.
