The National Honor Society (NHS) is the epitome of community service, academic achievement and selflessness. The National Honor Society is a prestigious organization that students from all around the country are a part of.

To be accepted into National Honor Society, you have to acquire a cumulative GPA of 3.65, and create a resume highlighting all of the hours you acquired from volunteering. Once a member is selected to be a part of the society, they will attend a ceremony dedicated to them getting inducted. Once a member is inducted into the society, they are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.6.

On top of maintaining a high GPA, members of the National Honor Society have to acquire a total of 15 service hours which they can acquire through volunteer opportunities outside of school and within the district. The NHS members are known for volunteering at the various sports events (swimming meets, basketball games, etc.) held at the high school, at the elementary schools and their personal cookie delivering business.

The National Honor Society meet every other Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. and discuss innovative ways to help the community and get their name out to the public. The National Honor Society is advised by Stacey Peterson and Andrea Unger.
